Mara Meru Cheetah Project

Kenya

Masai Mara

We have been working since 2013 with the Mara – Meru Cheetah Project to support their research of cheetah in the Masai Mara.

The research team conducts workshops in camp for our guides, on the latest developments of cheetah conservation education, cheetah identification and news, updates and life stories of the individual cheetah of the Masai Mara and surrounds.  Our guides in turn assist the project by providing them with field data to help them monitor the cheetah populations in our area of the Masai Mara. The team also regularly give talks in camp and are available to book (in advance) to take guests out on a cheetah focused game drives. Clients can also get involved to help the project, by sending in your cheetah photos to photos@governorscamp.com we will then pass these on to the project who will identify your cheetah and in return send you information on the cheetah in your photo.
