Packing for a difference

If you’re visiting us soon and would like to carry out some small items that could make a big difference to a local community, school or project, we would be delighted to help you get involved.

How it works

How it works:

The following items are very much in need in many of the rural areas that we operate. We support two schools – Mara Rianda Primary School in the Masai Mara and Loldia Primary School in the Great Rift Valley. If you are travelling to Kenya and staying with us, and would like to bring some supplies that are in need of, we will gladly accept these items from you and pass them on to the schools. If you are interested in visiting the school, we would be glad to take you there.

The following items are suggested: General school supplies: chalk, coloured construction paper, pencils, compasses, crayons, markers, erasers, glue sticks, pencil sharpeners, markers, pencils, crayons, pens, protractors, rulers and solar calculators, dictionaries and encyclopaedias (English), wall charts (human body, math, language, science, world maps), Flash Cards in English (Alphabet, Maths and Word), Text Reading Books in English (Math, Language/Grammar, General Science etc), Art supplies such as paints and colors.

Additionally, any of these are also much appreciated:

  • Educational games and toys such as puzzles, stuffed animals, soft toys.
  • Sports/Outdoor Activity: soccer balls, basket balls, jump ropes, team uniform, frisbees.
  • First Aid/Health kits: sanitary items (towels and tampons), band aids, bandages, antibiotic ointment.

Please note that these are the specific needs requested by the schools so we urge you to choose what you like from the above rather than carry out other items that may be politely declined such as candy and balloons which are harmful for the children and the environment. If you are planning to carry some supplies please get in touch with us and we can make the necessary arrangements for delivery and dispatch.

Thank you so much for your support.
