May Game Report, Masai Mara

As the rains tailed off the Mara River remained high and grasses on the savannah are growing long. There are families of elephants feeding in the grasslands and large numbers of Topi on the plains. The resident lion and hyena have been hunting buffalo from the big herds on the plains close to camp. The widow birds are still displaying in full plumage in the grasslands and we have had great sightings of leopard and cheetah.
