GOVERNORS’ CAMP 5 NIGHT SPECIAL ITINERARY   6 DAYS, 5 NIGHTS

2 NIGHTS LOLDIA HOUSE (LAKE NAIVASHA),

3 NIGHTS GOVERNORS’ CAMP OR LITTLE GOVERNORS’ CAMP (MASAI MARA) INCLUDING AN EXCITING HOT AIR BALLOON SAFARI

AN UPGRADE TO GOVERNORS’ IL MORAN CAMP IN THE MASAI MARA IS ALSO POSSIBLE

 
 Day 1 - NAIROBI TO RIFT VALLEY (Loldia House)
 
Loldia House - nestles under the Acacia trees on one of the country’s oldest farms.  It was built in the Second World War and had breath-taking views of the dormant volcano, Mt Longonot.  Mouthwatering meals are served under the trees or in the original dinning room. 
 
Arrive Jomo Kenyatta International Airport off your international flight.  Transfer by road through the scenically beautiful Great Rift Valley down to Loldia House, nestling on the shores of Lake Naivasha.  A two hour drive from Nairobi.    Enjoy a delicious lunch on the lawn overlooking Mt Longonot.
Afternoon at leisure on the farm, with the option of a late afternoon horse ride or evening walk with Loldia’s resident naturalist or a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, witnessing the prolific variety of bird-life on the lake and the lake shore.  Dinner in the traditional dinning room hosted by Peter and overnight Loldia House.
 
Day 2 - RIFT VALLEY  (Loldia House)
 
Early breakfast before departing to Lake Nakuru National Park.  Morning game drive around Lake Nakuru, famous for its abundance of flamingos and large variety of water birds.  Lake Nakuru is also one of Kenya’s Rhino Sanctuaries and large numbers of Rhinos are regularly seen, along with good sightings of Leopard.
 
Lunch is served under the Acacia trees overlooking the lake.  Returning to Loldia in the afternoon.  Dinner and overnight at Loldia House.
 
Activities Available: Include horse riding, guided bird and game walks, bird-watching and fishing trips on Lake Naivasha, visits to the local flower farm and a night game drive. 
 
Day 3 - RIFT VALLEY – MASAI MARA (Governors’ Camp)
 
Governor’s Camp - situated right in the heart of the Masai Mara has 37 tents.
These tents nestle in the forest along the winding banks of the Mara River, its waters teeming with hippo and crocodile.  The entire camp is under canvas, with all the comforts of a five-star hotel. There are no fences around the camp and Elephant, Hippo and other wild animals regularly visit the Camp. This is a wonderful experience. The game viewing from Governors’ Camp is unbeatable.
 
Breakfast served on the lawns of Loldia House. After breakfast, there is the opportunity to take a boat ride or an exciting bird walk along the lakeshore. Lunch is served at 12.30
At 14.45 you will be transferred to the Loldia airstrip to catch your direct Safari link flight direct to the Mara. Arriving at the Governors’ airstrip at approximately 4:00pm.  You will enjoy a short game drive en route to the camp.
 
Pre dinner drinks around the campfire, a four course candlelit dinner in the dining tent and overnight at Governors’ Camp.
 
Day 4 - MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE (Governors’ Camp)
 
Depart the camp at 5.15am to the Balloon Safari take off site at Little Governors’. A fabulous I hour Hot Air Balloon safari across the plains of the Masai Mara .  On landing enjoy a champagne bush breakfast, freshly cooked before you eyes, in the middle of the Mara plains.  Game drive back to camp.  Spend the morning relaxing before lunch at the camp, afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight at Governors Camp.
 
Day 5 - MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE  (Governors’ Camp)
 
Early morning game drive at dawn, returning to the Camp for breakfast.  A 10:30am game drive, returning to the camp for lunch.  A 3:30pm game drive returning to camp before sundown.  Dinner and overnight Governors’ Camp.
 
Optional extras available from Governors’ Camps in addition to the three daily game drives, are:- Guided Big Game walking safaris with one of the Camps’ resident professional guides, followed by a full cooked champagne bush breakfast.  Afternoon walking safaris with sundowners are also available. Exciting flying safaris to Lake Victoria for fishing and birdwatching at Mfangano Island Camp can also be arranged.
 
Day 6 - MASAI MARA - NAIROBI                              
 
Early morning game-drive at sunrise, followed by breakfast at the camp.  Late morning game drive, and a delicious lunch back at the camp. After lunch transfer to the airstrip to catch the scheduled flight departing at 4:00pm for Nairobi.  Arriving at Wilson Airport at 5.00pm. 
Where you will be met and transferred to the very well known Carnivore restaurant for dinner  (Dinner to be paid direct).  After dinner transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in time for your international flight home.
