Breathtaking natural scenery combines with some of Africa’s most
memorable wildlife. The Great Rift Valley is a highlight of any trip
to Kenya.
A huge geological fault-line, the Great Rift Valley stretches round
one-sixth of the Earth’s circumference. Along its lengths are
volcanoes, most now dormant.
One of the rarest animals found here is the rhino. Living alongside
are millions of flamingos, the world’s greatest concentration around
Lake Nakuru.
Close to the main attractions is
Loldia House
an old farmhouse converted and run by Governors’ Camps.
An original Kenya home it is set on an old farm on the shores of
Lake Naivasha, where guests can experience the Kenya of old, with
its gentle pace of life, drive, walk or horseback ride among the
herds of plains game which live alongside farm animals.
