SABUK

If you would like to explore the wilds of northern Kenya, Governors’ Camp Collection recommends Sabuk as a beautiful wilderness property to combine with a Governors’ Camp Collection Safari. Sabuk is remote and beautiful, an exclusive wilderness haven on the edge of the Northern Laikipia Plateau. Perched on a cliff overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro River, which cascades beneath the lodge all year round. Sabuk, which remains a family home, offers wilderness and stunning views of the Laikipia plains towards Mount Kenya, as well as the Karisa Hills and Mathews Mountains in the North.

 

 

Sabuk location consists of:

Main mess area with a wooden deck overlooking the dramatic scenery, & the tumbling Ewaso Nyiro river.

A beautiful infinity pool, & separate paddling pool.

6 cottages, which consists of two king size doubles, two twins;   and one family room, with a king-sized double and 3 extra beds + one family house, with a king-sized double with 3 extra beds and another small one for under 5 years’ old child.

Eagle cottage, comprising of two fantastic en-suite cottages – one with king size bed & one triple. This family unit has its own exclusive ‘mess’ & plunge pool.

A church with a view, on the hill – for weddings.

How to get to Sabuk

Governors’ Camp Collection Can arrange your transfers to Sabuk, this is usually done by air, and the following options are available:

  • Air charter, to Loisaba
  • Schedule air service – daily flights from Nairobi to Loisaba airstrip – & return, by request
  • Schedule air service – daily flights to & from the Masai Mara
  • Access by road: Approx 6hours from Nairobi; 2 hours from Nanyuki
